What is eczema and what butters and oil treat eczema

What is Eczema?

Eczema, a chronic condition that causes itchy and inflamed skin, is known as a chronic disorder. Eczema manifests as itchy, red patches on the skin that aren't contagious.

It affects 30% of Americans. It can appear as early as two months old in infants. Eczema can often be seen on the cheeks and chin of children.

My son developed eczema on his face, which then spread to his elbows and other parts of his body. Because the rash didn't look like other types of eczema, we thought it might be something else.

Eczema can refer to a range of skin rashes that may appear in varying forms. Atopic Dermatitis, also known as cradle caps, and Seborrheic Dermatitis are the most common forms of eczema among children. Although I will concentrate on these two conditions today, there are many others.

Eczema Types

  • Atopic dermatitis
  • Contact dermatitis
  • Discoid eczema
  • Dyshidrotic eczema
  • Neurodermatitis
  • Nummular eczema
  • Seborrheic dermatitis
  • Stasis dermatitis

HOW DOES SHEE BUTTER HELP ECZEMA

Because eczema's main problem is the inability to keep the skin moisturised, shea butter is a natural remedy for those suffering from the condition. Cetyl esters in shea butter are known to lock in moisture within the skin barrier. This makes your skin more resistant to eczema.

You can also use shea butter body butter to treat eczema.

A POWERFUL ANTIINFLAMMATORY

Studies have shown shea butter is as effective as medicated creams in treating eczema. This is without the side effects associated with medications. Shea butter also contains cinnamic and lupeol citrate, which help with skin conditions such as acne.

SOFT AND SOOOTHING

Eczema can be a painful condition that makes the skin feel hot and itchy. Shea butter is rich in fatty acids, which helps ease the pain. Shea butter's natural SPF-6 protection against sunburn and other skin damage also helps to smoothen your skin.

Shea butter has the added benefit of helping to reduce wrinkles and early signs of aging.

ALL NATURAL

Mother Nature knows how to heal and it is time for you to stop relying solely on the over-the-counter products sold at drug stores. These products can cause your skin even more to dry out because they contain alcohols and chemicals.

Shea butter is straight from the kernel. It is not processed at all and can be used as little or as often as you like. It will become hardened at a low temperature, just like coconut oil.
